and everything else was just plain PERFECT.

i got a video of it from the front
it was FREAKING synchronised

Dramafeste'07

CONGRATS! On Ares winning Best Ensemble, Best Supporting Actor and Best Actor!

Personally (and I think I speak for everyone else involved), the highlight of Dramafeste was our performance itself, one that drew to an end when we took our bows to thunderous applause during curtain call. Winning was a bonus. Don’t get me wrong, we went in wanting to sweep all the awards. But above that, was the desire to put up a show every Aresian would enjoy and be proud of. The adrenaline rush and satisfaction from achieving this outweighed whatever fac points we were to end the night with. Performance, art and the Ares spirit should never be about competition.

I'd like to thank the strong cast and dedicated crew I had the opportunity of working with, our faculty teachers, fac heads and fac comm for all their support, as well as ELDDFS for organizing the whole event. THANK YOU.

We'll see you again at Dramafeste'08! (:

Even though Overall Best Play eventually went to Apollo, Ares clinched the MOST AWARDS for Dramafeste 2007!

Congratulations to the CAST for winning BEST SUPPORTING ACTORS, Rui An for winning BEST ACTOR, and the ENTIRE CAST & CREW for winning BEST ENSEMBLE! We completely brought down the house last night!

Special thanks to the cast, crew and everyone who helped in one way or another! We worked hard, we conquered, we deserved it! ARES KE BAH BAH!

2007 CNY FOOD & BOOK DRIVE

Hi everyone in Ares,

CIP Unit is organising the 2007 CNY Food and Book Drive from 1 feb to 9 feb at INNER PLAZA. Kindly try to contribute as individuals/ a group / a class. It will be really great if each class can contribute food items for this festive period to bring joy to the elderly.

The food items will be donated to:
1) the residents Ju Eng Home at 205 Jalan Kayu
2) elderly living at Block 5 Toa Payoh Lor 7, Care Corner

Yup. The MOST IMPORTANT THING:
WE NEED YOUR HELP IN CONTRIBUTING FOOD ITEMS SUCH AS:

Main Meals
Macaroni, Mee Sua, CUP instant noodles, dried ikan bilis, chinese sausages, pork floss, dried mushroom.

Especially for Care Corner only
a) Smaller quantity of rice and instant noodles for the elderly at Care Corner ( as they are not requested by Ju Eng Home)
b) Chinese New Year Goodies

Hello Aresians! Great job on learnin the fac dance so far and rmb to keep practising!! :D there r only a few more dance sessions left till CNY so pls come down when ur ct reps are notified of the time and venue!

For the next few sessions, tml being the next one, we will basically polish up the moves and finish teachin all those who haven completed the dance or are unclear about certain sections.. oh ya and the video will finally be up by this wkend, dats a promise.. haha later youtube's top search is ares hwa chong ;)
